Lisa Kleist

DVM, DACVIM

Dr. Kleist earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University in 1991. Growing up with one foot in the city and one on a small ranch, she aspired to become a doctor caring for the animals.

Fueling her dream as a child, she often would read the All creatures series by James Herriot and even the Merck Veterinary Manual.

Dr. Kleist is active in her state veterinary association and is currently serving on the Education Evaluation Committee for the UVMA. She brings to Antelope Animal Hospital 25 years of experience in medicine and surgery.

During her career she has worked with wildlife, military working dogs, police dogs and, of course, and can’t wait for the privilege of working with your dog and cat family members.

Since graduation, Utah has been her home. Enjoying all the great outdoors activities this state has to offer, Dr. Kleist and her family enjoy hiking, fishing, camping and cheering each other on in ice hockey. She currently has one pet, Sota (short for Minnesota), a black Labrador Retriever with the energy of two dogs packed into one!
